About Dr. Cynthia Hensley

Dr. Cynthia Hensley has been practicing dermatology in Bonita Springs since 2001 after graduating from Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta Georgia.
Dr. Hensley's education includes graduating cum laude from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. She subsequently graduated magna cum laude from Emory University School of Medicine where she was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha – the medical honor society. She completed her Internal Medicine Internship and Dermatology Residency at Emory University and served as Chief Resident of Dermatology. Dr. Hensley’s practice focuses on skin cancer detection/treatment and skin surgery. She is an active member of numerous professional societies including the American Academy of Dermatology and the Florida Society of Dermatology.
Dr. Hensley and her husband, Darren Whitener, have two daughters, Lauren and Kathryn, and one Jack Russell Terrier (Luna). They enjoy going to the gym, bicycling, and walks on the beach.
